One of the best medium-sized perennials for biodiversity, the hemp agrimony ‘Baby Joe’ is highly attractive to butterflies from mid-summer through to autumn when it is covered in clusters of umbrella-like magenta-mauve flowers. The domed colourful blooms and slender foliage are held firmly on attractive dark purple stems, providing colour contrast which looks good all season – particularly through winter when the impressive seed heads of this compact form of Eupatorium can be left as a structural feature.‘Baby Joe’ is perfect for the smaller garden and thrives in moist soil in sun or shade.
